Project Updates
We’re thrilled to announce that the Santa Clara City Council has unanimously approved the Agrihood project to move forward. We couldn’t be more grateful for all the community members who have shaped the Agrihood with their thoughtful input throughout this process. THANK YOU for taking the time to share your stories about why this critical housing and farm space is so important for Santa Clara.
We also want to express our heartfelt gratitude for Mayor Gillmor, the City Council and the talented City staff for working with us to make Agrihood a reality. Their insightful guidance has helped the Agrihood become a special place – one that will promote health, wellness, comfort and joy for all Santa Clarans.
Because of everyone’s hard work, we’re closer than we’ve ever been to achieving our mission to bring an affordable, vibrant housing community to Santa Clara. The Agrihood’s 361 homes (181 of which are below-market), urban farm, retail and open space will provide a uniquely enjoyable place to live and gather for seniors, veterans, middle-income workers, and other community members. And it will connect Santa Clara’s contemporary urban living with our agricultural past.
Our goal throughout this endeavor has been to provide the affordable housing that we urgently need in Santa Clara through a truly creative, community-driven process. Thank you for working with us to make that happen. We look forward to collaborating with you in the months and years ahead as the Agrihood moves from vision to reality.
Dear Neighbor
Welcome to the Agrihood project website. This site is a tool to provide the Santa Clara community information about this first-of-its-kind development that connects contemporary urban living with Santa Clara’s agricultural past. Just like the project, this website is a living effort, and will evolve with the proposal. We will continue providing the most up-to-date information, easy ways to share feedback, and seamless communication with the project team.
